Don’t forget to plan for the “Jesus. All About Life” medai campaign in September. There are lots of resources, such as a 6-part training DVD for use in home groups, a 5-part discipleship (Alpha style) course, youth videos for use in schools and youth groups, and the give-away book for people who respond to the advertising.
In the Illawarra, the JAAL advertising campaign will probably go for 6 weeks. The idea is to change the church’s culture of how we do evangelism. During the campaign it will be easy for Christians to talk about their faith. The training points out that the usual ways the church does evangelism does not connect with Australians today, it comes across as too religious.
All 150 of the Illawarra’s churches are encouraged to be part of the campaign in order to increases its effectiveness. Many churches have already registered at the Bible Society JAAL website. See http://www.jesusallaboutlife.com.au and http://5icm.idx.com.au/index_files/JAAL.htm.
